Let's get this season going

Pretty sure I caught all of the changes from Silly Season, I'll remove them after the first handful of races.
Posted on 2/10/18 at 10:37 pm to tWildcat
Did they not have the shootout this year or did I miss it?
When are the Duels?

Shootout is tomorrow, duels are Thursday evening. I don't even see the point in the duels now - there are only 40 teams at Daytona this year. There will be no race to get in teams at the Duels, which the point of those was to set the field and eliminate excess teams back when they had 40-60 teams show up.

So tomorrow the shootout and pole day?
Posted on 2/10/18 at 10:41 pm to sms151t
Correct. Qualifying then the Bud Shootout Clash Auto Parts Whatever They're Calling It This Year.

Okay thank you
I don’t like it that way, but it is what it is.
I will not figure out this new game so that means me and tWildcat will be battlin for last again

I just want the picks to lock when the race starts, I missed soooo many swaps last year because the picks locked before the haulers even left North Carolina for the tracks. Haaaated that rule.

I usually picked my teams on Monday and then said let’s hope it works forgot you could swap drivers
But best thing was I saved a certain driver just for the playoffs and then and I made huge rush at end as his team got hot. Then somehow I had Truex left in Homestead.

This is a view of the new Hawkeye inspection tent, which apparently this system can laser measure car components to 1/64".

First thing I thought of when I saw the new rules
We were getting decent at it and now they completely change it up on us.

They'll always be the bud shootout and Gatorade 125's to me.

You forgot the Charlotte Roval for schedule\race changes.
Go Blaney and Larson

As a fan, I hate to say this but NASCAR is really in trouble. Can’t even get enough cars to run a full field at the 500
Posted on 2/11/18 at 1:19 am to SPEEDY
40 is a full field now.
I can't even imagine how expensive it is to run in this race with all that you need. I know it keeps going up.

That’s right. That damn charter system.
43 sounds better than 40 at Daytona
