Why did Red Bull get rid of Kyvat for Verstappen?

Just finished the replay. What a crazy race. Mad Max is having one hell of a start in 2018.

Really bad luck for Bottas.

Hard not to like Bottas, very unfortunate for him.

Sky had a good post race analysis of the Red Bull crash, think both drivers were pretty equally at fault. Defensive driving by Max and Danny getting overzealous...Red Bull probably should have stepped in earlier since they were wheel to wheel seemingly the whole race, but apparently that’s not their style. I can appreciate that.

Not sure how many follow sportscar racing but Alonso won the season opener WEC race at Spa today. I believe he is targeting a full season effort in that series with the Toyota LMP1 program.

no way one of those ‘inexperienced’ Americans that Gunter Steiner mentioned would wrckcas many cars as Maldonado has, I mean Grojean, this year.

After Hamilton’s pretty dominant win, and Sebastian’s saying that the change in tires wouldn’t have made a great deal of difference, or even that keeping the tires might have hurt SF, what are y’all’s thoughts?

I think everyone pretty much conceded before the race that Barcelona was a Mercedes track. The warm weather on Friday was an equalizer but with the cool temps on Sunday the Mercs were too good.

I personally think the Ferrari is the best car. They've flipped quite a few results from last year.

Baku 2017 Fastest Merc was 1.1 seconds faster than the fastest Ferrari. 2018 Ferrari was almost .2 faster (Kimi would have made that gap about .6)

That was similar to China and Bahrain in terms of Ferrari flipping a deficit last year into a pole position this year.

Things could obviously change but Toto Wolff seems concerned going further into the Spring/Summer with the temps going up.
