Last night was a good one overall as teams in action went 3-1.

UNO defeated Stephen F. Austin 68-61. The Privateers were led by Troy Green who scored 15 points. Ezekiel Charles with 12 points and Gerrale Gates with 11 points also had double figure efforts in the win. UNO goes to 9-7 overall and 4-1 in the Southland.

McNeese beat Nicholls 86-75. The Cowboys had five players reach double figures led by Roydell Brown's 25 point, 12 rebound performance. Good contributions were also turned in by James Harvey and Kevin Hunt who each scored 15, Malik Hines who scored 13 and Trey Touchet who scored 10 in the win. The Colonels got 20 points from Gavin Peppers and 16 points from both Kevin Johnson & Jeremiah Jefferson but it wasn't enough. McNeese improves to 6-12 on the year and 2-3 in SLC play while Nicholls drops to 10-8 and 3-2.

Southeastern picked up their first Southland win beating Lamar 76-69. The Lions had four players reach double digit scoring with Marlain Veal leading the way with 22 points. Moses Greenwood, Keith Charleston and Brandon Gonzalez rounded out that group with 16, 12 & 11 points respectively in the win. Southeastern is now 5-12 this season and 1-3 in conference.



There's only one game tonight and that's Louisiana Tech traveling to face Old Dominion at 6pm. Game is available on ESPN+.

Louisiana Tech dropped a close one at Old Dominion last night losing 63-64. Amorie Archibald and Anthony Duruji were the high scorers for the Bulldogs with 16 points each and Dequan Bracey chipped in with 14 in the loss. Louisiana Tech drops to 13-6 this season and 3-3 in CUSA.



There are no games tonight, but every state school is in action this weekend. See schedule below.

Over the weekend teams went 5-7.

LSU handled South Carolina 89-67. It was a very balanced effort by the Tigers as six different players reached double figures led by double doubles from Emmitt Williams who scored 15 and grabbed 13 rebounds and Kavell Bigby-Williams who had 12 points & 11 rebounds. Naz Reid (15), Tremont Waters (12), Ja'vonte Smart (12) and Marlon Taylor (10) were the other double digit scorers in the win. LSU improves to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in SEC play.

Tulane lost at UConn 71-87. The Wave got 21 points from Caleb Daniels and 13 points from both Samir Sehic and Blake Paul in the loss. Tulane falls to 4-13 this season and 0-5 in the AAC.

Louisiana Tech lost a low scoring affair at Charlotte 40-55. Dequan Bracey was the high scorer for the Bulldogs with 13 points and Mubarak Muhammed was the only other double digit score with 10. Louisiana Tech drops to 13-7 this year and 3-4 in CUSA.

ULM held off ULL to win 99-95. Every starter for the Warhawks reach double figures. Daishon Smith (27), Michael Ertel (23), JD Williams (15), Andre Washington (12) & Travis Munnings (11) were the high scorers in the Warhawks win. The Cajuns got 31 points & 10 rebounds from JaKeenan Gant, 24 points from PJ Hardy, 13 points & 12 assists from Marcus Stroman and 14 points from Cedric Russell but it wasn't enough. ULM goes to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in Sun Belt play while ULL is now 11-7 and 2-3.

UNO fell 61-76 at Texas A&M-CC. The Privateers got 13 points from Ezekiel Charles and 12 points from Damion Rosser in the loss. UNO falls to 9-8 this year and 4-2 in the Southland.

Nicholls came up short at Central Arkansas losing 68-74. Gavin Peppers had a big scoring night with 26 points and Jeremiah Jefferson and Elvis Harvey chipped in with 14 & 12 points respectively for the Colonels but it wasn't enough. Nicholls drops to 10-9 on the season and 3-3 in SLC play.

Southeastern held off McNeese to win 74-71. The Lions were led by Marlain Veal's 27 points, got 14 points from Moses Greenwood and 10 points each from Brandon Gonzalez & Von Julien in the win. Roydell Brown was the high scorer for the Cowboys with 24 points and Kevin Hunt scored 12 in the loss. Southeastern is now 6-12 and 2-3 in conference while McNeese is 6-13 and 2-4.

Northwestern State lost at Abilene Christian 69-78. LaTerrance Reed was the high scorer for the Demons with 16 points who also got 12 points each from Ishmael Lane (also 11 rebounds), Vonte Ott and Brian White. Northwestern falls to 7-11 this season and 2-3 in SLC play.

Grambling topped Texas Southern in OT winning 88-87. The Tigers got big nights from Ivy Smith, Jr., who scored a game high 24 points, and Axel Mpoyo who scored 17 points & grabbed 15 rebounds. Anthony Gaston and Devante Jackson both had solid contributions with 15 & 12 points respectively. Grambling goes to 9-9 this year and 3-2 in SWAC play.

Southern picked up their first conference win beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 69-67. Sidney Umude was the only Jag to reach double figures with 22 points in the win. Southern is now 2-16 overall and 1-4 in conference.

Southern won their second straight game beating Mississippi Valley State 80-56. Hassan Hussein, Jayden Saddler and Aaron Ray all reached double figures for the Jags with 18, 14 & 12 points respectively. Southern is now 3-16 overall and 2-4 in conference.

Teams in action were 2-4 last night.

LSU beat Georgia 92-82. Tremont Waters and Skylar Mays both scored over 20 points for the Tigers with 26 & 20 points respectively. Naz Reid scored 15 and Ja'vonte Smart chipped in with 10 points in the win. LSU is now 15-3 this season and remains undefeated in SEC play at 5-0.

Tulane had a rough one losing 50-75 to UCF. Samir Sehic scored 12 and Kevin Zhang scored 11 as they were the only Wave players to reach double figures in the loss. Tulane falls to 4-14 overall and 0-6 in the AAC.

UNO lost at Central Arkansas 71-76. The Privateers got a 28 point night from Bryson Robinson and 13 points from Troy Green but came up short. UNO drops to 9-9 this year and 4-3 in Southland play.

Southeastern won their third game in a row edging Houston Baptist 70-67. Marlain Veal led the Lions with 26 points and Moses Greenwood scored 15 in the win. Southeastern is now 7-12 and back to .500 at 3-3 in conference.

Nicholls couldn't quite finish off Texas A&M-CC losing a tough one on the road 73-75. Gavin Peppers with 16 points, Danny Garrick with 15 points and Jeremiah Jefferson with 10 points were the double figure scorers for the Colonels. Nicholls drops to 10-10 overall and 3-4 in the SLC.

Northwestern State lost to Sam Houston State 64-78. Ishmael Lane had a huge game for the Demons scoring 19 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. LaTerrance Reed and DeAndre Love also scored double figures with 12 & 11 points respectively but it wasn't enough. Northwestern State falls to 7-12 this season and 2-4 in conference.

Teams in action last night were a perfect 3-0.

Louisiana Tech outlasted Marshall winning 89-80 in OT. The Bulldogs were led by Dequan Bracey's 25 points and JaColby Pemberton's 18 point, 11 rebound performance. Good efforts were also turned in by Anthony Duruji who scored 18 and Ra'Shawn Langston who scored 12 in the win. Louisiana Tech is now 14-7 overall and 4-4 in CUSA.

ULM beat Troy 75-69. Michael Ertel and Travis Munnings each scored 16 points for the Warhawks and Daishon Smith scored 15 points in the win. ULM goes to 11-7 this year and 4-2 in Sun Belt play.

ULL topped South Alabama 88-84. JaKeenan Gant (28), PJ Hardy (18), Jerekius Davis (17) and Cedric Russell (15) all reached double figure scoring for the Cajuns. ULL improves to 12-7 this season and get back to .500 at 3-3 in the SBC.

Teams went 6-5 this weekend.

LSU made an incredible comeback to top Mizzou 86-80 in OT. Skylar Mays was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 24 points. The other double digit scorers were Ja'vonte Smart and Naz Reid who each scored 14 and Tremont Waters who scored 13. LSU moves to 16-3 overall and remains undefeated in SEC play at 6-0.

Tulane lost 75-85 at SMU. Five players reached double figures for the Wave led by Jordan Cornish's 17 points & 12 points from Caleb Daniels. Samir Sehic (10 rebounds), Moses Wood & Blake Paul all scored 10 points but it wasn't enough. Tulane is now 4-15 this year and 0-7 in the AAC.

We NEED to win on the road in the next few games to help get us into the top 5. The road losses to Charlotte and Rice have hurt, they should not have happened.

UNO beat Northwestern State 72-64. Ezekiel Charles and Bryson Robinson each scored 17 points for the Privateers who also got 13 points from Damion Rosser in the win. Ishmael Lane was the only Demon in double figures with his 17 point, 15 rebound effort in the loss. UNO goes to 11-9 overall and 6-3 in Southland play while Northwestern State falls to 7-14 and 2-6.

Southeastern lost to Sam Houston State 52-62. The Lions only had one player crack double digits in the scoring column and that was Jeremiah Saunders who scored 12 points in the loss. Southeastern drops to 8-13 this year and 4-4 in the SLC.

ULL finished up a rough road swing with a 79-96 loss at Coastal Carolina. JaKeenan Gant was the high man again for the Cajuns with 27 points & 12 rebounds. Jerekius Davis scored 12 and Marcus Stroman scored 11 in the loss. ULL is now 13-9 and 4-5 in the SBC.

Grambling handled Arkansas-Pine Bluff 79-55. Prince Moss scored 21 and Anthony Gaston scored 11 for the Tigers in the win. Grambling is now 10-11 overall and 4-4 in the SWAC.

Southern lost at Alcorn State 64-76. Sidney Umude, Jayden Saddler, Aaron Ray and Alex Ennis were all in double figures for the Jags with 12, 11, 10 & 10 respectively in the loss. Southern falls to 3-19 and 2-7 in conference.




Kind of an unusual slate this week as Tulane, Louisiana Tech & Southern don't play weekday games and ULL & ULM who usually play Thursday/Saturday are instead playing Wednesday/Friday. Below is the schedule for this week.

Grambling was the only team in action last night and they beat Mississippi Valley State 79-57. The Tigers were led by Axel Mpoyo's 22 points & 11 rebounds and also got 20 points from Dallas Polk-Hilliard and 18 points from Ivy Smith, Jr. Grambling gets back to .500 on the season at 11-11 and goes to 5-4 in SWAC play.
