Teams in action yesterday were 2-0.

LSU won their first round match up over Yale 79-74. The Tigers got double doubles from both Naz Reid (14 points & 10 rebounds) and Kavell Bigby-Williams (10 points & 10 rebounds). Good scoring efforts were turned in by Skylar Mays who had 19 and Tremont Waters who had 15 in the win. LSU advances to the second round of the NCAA Tournament where they will take on six seeded Maryland tomorrow.

ULM got a first round win in the CIT over Kent State 87-77. Travis Munnings (28), JD Williams (17), Daishon Smith (16) and Michael Ertel (14) were all in double figures for the Warhawks in the win. The Warhawks advance to the second round of the CIT. Who, when and where are still TBD.

So both teams stay alive in their respective tournaments. LSU is the only one with a known playing time at this point. I assume we won't find out ULM's second round info until Sunday as the first round of the CIT doesn't wrap up until Saturday night. See below for LSU schedule info.

As everyone is aware, LSU won 69-67 over Maryland on Saturday. Skylar Mays (16), Naz Reid (13), Tremont Waters (12) and Darius Days (10) were all in double figures for the Tigers in the win. LSU advances to the Sweet 16 where they will take on the #2 seed in the East Region Michigan State.

We also now know that ULM will host their next game in the CIT and when it will be, but we do not know the opponent yet. ULM was deemed to be a top 3 seed in the tournament and have received a bye to the quarterfinals. See schedule for the two remaining teams below.

Well, after last night there is only one state school alive this postseason.

ULM lost to Texas Southern in triple OT 102-108. The Warhawks got 24 points from Michael Ertel, 22 points & 11 rebounds from Travis Munnings, 17 points each from Daishon Smith and Tyree White and 13 points from Brandon Newman in the loss. ULM finishes the season at 19-16 overall.

LSU is the only team left and they will try to continue their season tonight when they take on #2 seed Michigan State at 6:09pm on CBS.

Figured I'd put on wrap on this thread without bumping it. LSU's season ended in the sweet 16 with a 63-80 loss to Michigan State. LSU ends the year at 28-7 overall.

I don’t see how LSU is going to beat Tom Izzo with an Assistant Coach.
