I was listening to Bob Licht mess up like 16 calls in the first half and it made me love Joel Myers even more.
I kept thinking "no way this is actually Deuce McAllister in the first half. What a wild team.

It's sad what Southern has become. Under Banks they had a shot at the tourney almost every year.
The only team in action last night was UNO and they had a rough one at Pittsburgh falling 57-99. Bryson Robinson led the Privateers with 11 points while Damion Rosser and Gerrale Gates each scored 10 in the loss. UNO drops to 5-5 on the season.

re: 2018-19 Season Long State of LA College Basketball ThreadPosted by hendersonshands on 1/2/19 at 9:25 am to burdman
There's a lot of high school talent coming in. Kobe Julian is redshirting after his torn ACL at the end of last high school season. We also have Mylik Wilson who will be a freshman next year. I have high hopes for those two. RJ Gladney could also end up being a good player.
Jalen Johnson is sitting out this year after transferring from St. Louis.

Teams in action last night went 1-2.
Louisiana Tech came up short at North Texas 59-63. The Bulldogs got a 22 point effort from Dequan Bracey and 11 points from JaColby Pemberton in the loss. Louisiana Tech falls to 11-4 overall and 1-1 in CUSA play.
ULL lost their Sun Belt opener to Arkansas State 83-94. The Cajuns had four players reach double figure scoring in the game with Marcus Stroman leading the way with 25 points. JaKeenan Gant and Justin Miller both scored 19 and PJ Hardy added 11 points but it wasn't enough. ULL drops to 9-5 and 0-1 in conference.
ULM beat Little Rock in their conference opener 97-84. Daishon Smith had a huge night dropping 42 points including 10 threes for the Warhawks. Michael Ertel and JD Williams also reached double figures with 16 & 13 points respectively in the win. ULM goes to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in the SBC.
