Ivo and the Donald are playing tonight I believe.

DY just blew a 5-1 lead in 1st set breaker to Ivo, but he still won it 7-5.

Haas and Delpo are both playing later tonight.

Yeah... not sure why. He's only planning to play like 10 events and then retire. Farewell tour?

And now he's hurt again.

Thiem finally looks like Thiem again on the red dirt.

Thiem hits the ball sooo hard. He needs a little nuance methinks.

Perfect technique. He lets go just before contact for max damage.

Looks like I was wrong about saying Cici Bellis should go to Stanford for a year. The 17 year old just took down Radwanska and will square off against Wozniacki next in Dubai.

Found a good video showing Fed's backhand improvement during AO17. I know MV has probably watched it several times already but here it is for everyone else. LINK

That is awesome. His backhand has sucked since like 2008 and it's crazy that it is back. His coach deserves a ton of credit.

Sock beat Young in a relatively tight match today. Raonic and Del Potro are on court now.

Would like Sock take down Milos but I can't see it. His return game is just not on the same level as the top guys.

One thing I do really like about Federer is his respect and admiration for Nadal.

Federer says his dream doubles partner would be Nadal

They should just play together at Indian Wells. Why not?

Tournaments this week:

500 Level:
Dubai
-notables: Murray, Stan, Fed, Monfils, Berdy, Pouille
- draw

Acapulco
-Notables: Djokovic, Nadal, Thiem, Kyrgios, Goffy, Cilic, Delpo
-Mad Americans: Sock, Isner, Tiafoe, Fritz, Kozlov, SteveO, Slamming Sammy
- draw

250 Level:
Sao Paolo-- draw

Thoughts:
-Acapulco has the better field despite having appreciably lower prize money. I wonder why that is?
-Djokovic potentially gets Delpo in the second round, Kyrgios in the third, and Thiem in the fourth. Rough.
-Rafa gets the elder Zverev in the first round.

Then we wouldn't have this dream partnership...

Proximity to Indian Wells would be my guess. Also, the court speed and bounce is more similar to IW.

I'm on Kozlov tonight as a short dog. He's coming off straight-set wins over Chung and Donaldson, and Escobedo has some ugly Challenger losses lately.
