The overrule by that umpire, followed by Stan not challenging that call could be massive.

eta: That's on Stan. He had 3 challenges left. No reason not to challenge unless you're just overly worried about serve rhythm.

Yeah, unreal that he wouldn't use it in such a key spot.

Just crazy that Grandpa Fed has won the two biggest tournaments of the year so far.

Very cool that Fed is having this (presumably) end of career run. I kept hoping he was going to, but a couple of years ago decided maybe it wasn't going to happen.

I'm for Fed, but I hate the way this went down. I don't like to see an incorrect call (albeit by millimeters) not rectified, and especially one that comes at such a critical juncture. That being said, nothing should take away from Fed's performance in this one. It was a thing of beauty. Serve was only in jeopardy one time - and he immediately applied pressure back with Stan's ensuing service games. It is cliche to say what we are witnessing is something special, but it surely is. Incredibly beautiful tennis.

Rafa is up in Miami today. Djokovic and Murray withdrew. Fed is not playing Monte Carlo and sounds like he may not play the clay court season. Emma Stone and Steve Carell will be starring in a Battle of the Sexes movie.

A valiant first set effort. I thought it would be 6-2 max.
