Lol it's not, you're one of the only people in sports I have ever seen think you can only root for teams in which you are from their city.
It is honestly hilarious to me and I laugh every time so at least it's good for something.
Especially on this board with fans all over but most from LA, has to be one of the worst boards to have that mindset.

nah its just funny that you have a NHL team right there but bc they don't win cups you chose someone else. But the cards with a tradition of winning you root for.

Interesting, but that's just you not knowing the area. The Blues fan base is right around STL and doesn't drift too much further down south at all. The Cards dominate the entire state minus a small area of KC of course.
They aren't even remotely the same, you'll find more people in the Southern part of the state that have no idea what hockey even is than Blues fans. Just how it is.
I chose who I wanted when I was a kid and did not like the Blues and still don't care for them, had nothing to do with Cups.

I think it depends on the area, Fox Sports MidWest has a huge contract with the Cards so they show them over the Blues but the Blues still get games on it when the Cards are off or they put the Blues on the alternate channel I think and that just depends on provider/package.

I'd die laughing cuz I'm pretty sure JaMarcus Russell drove what was left of any Raiders bandwagon right off Mt Everest many years ago. I guess now some are starting to pop up again but Jesus did it take long enough to even get a bandwagon running again. And if having to be from shitty as Oakland is part of it than frick that shite hole no thanks.
