I'm all down for Nashville to become a big time hockey spot, but as of now, Nashville isnt there.

I think that makes it more impressive that they aren't a 'hockey spot' yet still filling up the arena and rocking it.

I haven't been to Bridgestone but I hear it's great. Can't beat the location. Right downtown close to Broadway.

Also Nashville metro area is only like 1.5 million

It's actually on Broadway, neighboring all of the honkey tonks. Not my scene since I grew up here, but it's about as good as it gets for other fan bases and out of town Preds fans.

Ya im now just seeing what he replied to was about something else. I thought he was replying to what I said earlier when some one said Nashville fans were deserving of a Cup trip.

Locally, the Preds 2-1 Game 4 win vs. STL posted a 7.9 rating in Nashville - highest-rated Preds game ever on @NBCSN in Nashville market

I'd like to claim Nashville the hockey capital of the south, however with the Hurricanes, Lightning, Panthers, Stars, and Kings all winning cups within the last 20 years, they aren't close yet.

Fortunately for them, all those franchises suck now so Nashville is poised to ascend to the top IF they continue this streak of dominant play

Lol I wouldn't say the Kings are in the South.

But outside of the Lightning all of those teams are bad.

good fro the city too. It's amazing to see the bars fill after a preds game. The pic I took is clearly from like a cold winter night. It's usually sidewalks packed on like a Tuesday afternoon around here. It actually kind of sucks for those of us that have to work in the city.

I went to my first Preds game in about eight years when I was back in Nashville to visit my parents around January. The change just in the presentation and the fans is amazing from how it was. And it's very different from the games I caught when I was living up in Philly. There are people who will never accept them, but Nashville's on the right track.

yea I wouldn't claim this at all. I won't deny it took the city some time to latch on. But I'd say in the last 7-8 years it's really taken off.

Nashville ranks 8th in attendance measured by percentage of capacity. They are over 100% capacity on an average night (100.3%).

we will always be looked at as the country music city with a hockey team by all of the north easterners who grew up around and playing hockey.

But even little league and city hockey has taken off around here. It's sort of odd, but I think it's frickin awesome.

Anyone that I know that still struggles with caring about hockey, I always suggest they go to just 1 game. It's much more fun than a Titans game.

Damn that's a strong RFA list.

I think one of Granlund or Niederreiter will have to be moved by the Wild. They're are paying Parise so much.

I could see Drouin being moved too. If not him then Tyler Johnson is gone.

Parayko will get a long term deal I think.
