That blows. I was listening on the radio broadcast yesterday, and someone said X rays were negative. So I was thinking he’d just miss a few days. Seems like every damn year he has some injury that keeps him out for a long time.

Karlsson talking about waiving his NMC and is openly asking for a trade. He's got another year left on his deal at $6.5 million, making it perhaps the best contract in all of hockey aside from maybe some rookie deals. Of course, he's already said there will be no hometown discount when he hits free agency and he might be the first blueliner to crack $10 million AAV.
Let the absurd trade speculation commence! I think at the end of the day he's gonna go for the classic pick, player, and a prospect. Maybe a second pick as well. The teams that would most want to add him don't have the cap space to add him in the middle of the year.
