re: 2017-18 Colleges in Louisiana Season Long Basketball Thread

Yesterday was a very good day for Louisiana teams as in state schools went 2-0 overall and both wins over Big Ten teams.

LSU defeated Michigan in Maui by a score of 77-75. Tremont Waters led the way again for the Tigers as the freshman had 21 points in the victory. Aaron Epps, Duop Reath and Brandon Sampson all scored in double figures for the Tigers. LSU is now 3-0 this season.

ULL beat Iowa 80-71 in the Cayman Islands Classic. The Cajuns got a 15 point, 10 rebound effort from Bryce Washington to go along with double digit scoring efforts from Frank Bartley, JaKeenan Gant and Justin Miller. The Cajuns are now 3-1 this year.

I would be interesting to power rank the Louisiana teams this early in the season.

LSU probably has the best win so far. Tulane is undefeated and beat LSU in a scrimmage. Tech is good and undefeated, but they've beaten three meh to bad teams. UL is good and has a good win against Iowa, but also has a loss.

Really weird game today. Cajuns are 2-23 from 3, and the reffing has been horrible all around. One dude tossed Bob Marlin with back to back technicals in a span of like 3 seconds. Horrible charge called, Marlin complains and then gets two technicals and is tossed.

Cajuns fall to Wyoming 61-70. Will play the loser of Richmond/Cincinnati tomorrow at 5pm.

That's really weak. Cajuns have been on the end of a couple of weak techs this year (Russell's at OM).

Officiating hasn't been kind to them the last two days. Calling things very tightly. Hopefully they are getting the bad breaks out of the way. I'm a believer that things balance out over the season.

college basketball officials are the worst of any sport, maybe challenged by college baseball.

If they can't hit threes, they need Bryce Washington to have a big game. Unfortunately, Stroman was in foul trouble and fouled out on some bs so there was no one to get the ball into the post.
