The LaTech win was pretty impressive.

I want to see how they handle Cancun before naming them the best team in the state.

Their 1, 2 and 3 look good so far....real good.

Scores from the weekend games.

Louisiana Tech defeated Montana St 71-58. Bulldogs were led by 23 points from Jacobi Boykins. LA Tech improves to 3-0 this season.

Grambling had a rough one losing to South Dakota 55-84. Tigers got 9 points from Bobby Jackson and no Tiger player hit double digit scoring. GSU is now 0-3 this season.

Tulane beat Fordham 63-55. The Wave got a 23 point, 14 rebound effort from Melvin Frazier in the win. Tulane is off to a 4-0 start this year.

Southeastern lost at Valparaiso by a score of 50-83. The Lions got 11 points from Moses Greenwood and 10 points from Eddy Polanco. Southeastern is now 1-3 this year.

Nicholls fell the Western Kentucky 86-100. The Colonels rallied back in the 2nd half on the back of a 34 point, 12 rebound effort by Roddy Peters but it wasn't enough. Nicholls is now 2-2.

McNeese lost in overtime at Loyola Marymount 86-92. The Cowboys were led by Kalob Ledoux who scored 26 points. McNeese falls to 1-3 this season.

Southern lost at North Carolina Central 67-80. The Jags were led by Jamar Sandifer who had 16 points & 7 rebounds. Southern is still looking for their first win as they now sit at 0-5.

Montana St. didn't have their stud, Tyler Hall. I thought we looked good defensively, though.

Gotcha.

So a pretty decent team that is likely headed to the NIT at least.

Seems like this could be one of the better years for Louisiana basketball in a while.

They were an NIT team last year. They have a good point guard Bohannon, but I didn't really get much of an impression from anyone else. Cajuns were much more athletic, but their 2-3 zone was successful once they got the Cajuns in foul trouble and slowed the game down.
