I'm not sure what to think headed to the french. Maybe novak is mentally and physically geared to win there 100% and that is part of why he's looked vulnerable lately.l at some of these clay masters. Murray seems like fools gold until he can get over the djokovic hump.
Federer seems like he's still fighting injuries and clay has never been his strong suit. Nadal still is a top contender and nishikori definitely seems like he's dialed in on clay. Wawrinka is always a wild card. Nobody else really stands out.

Nadal is playing ALOT better now, so he definitely makes it interesting.
Novak needs to take this week off and just chill until RG.

The third set was great. Kei fought his tail off to get back in it and fended off some match points before Nole took it.
Rafa's chances are obviously great if he gets in the opposite half from Nole. The biggest thing for him, Murray, and Kei to me is, can they really hang in for four to five hours with Nole? They all seem to be able to battle hard for three sets or so.

If Novak has a moderately tough draw in the French, and you can fade him for even money, I think there's value there.
Clay is just a big neutralizer for his game. IMO, his biggest advantages over the field are return of serve, and turning defense into offense. Since clay weakens serves, everyone returns better and that negates some of his edge. And to play offense on clay, you need either a lot of topspin (Rafa) or pounding groundstrokes (Wawrinka). He simply can't generate the force to dominate like he does on the other surfaces.
With that said, he played well enough to win last year, but ran into God-mode Stan. This year looks tougher, though, with Rafa almost looking like Rafa, and Kei finally being healthy and playing great tennis.

djokovic owns murray.
when he owns him again tomorrow, it'll just be the norm.

maybe a glimmer of hope for american tennis - the bryan bros won doubles and serena beat keys in an all american womens final.
then again, it doesn't mean anything at all

Why would the Bryan Bros. and Serena titles today be any more o a "glimmer of hope" for American tennis when the Bryan Bros and Serenas have been winning titles and GS titles for the last 15 years, but the rest of the Americans have not?

How's Michael Chang doing?

Maybe for Keys. I don't follow WTA too closely, but straight-setting Kvitova and Muguruza in one tourney looks impressive.

Azn legend is of course coaching the top Azn guy now.
Murray and Djokovic on right now. There will probably be rain delays.

This is 1 easy backhand put-away from being 5-0 Murray

djoker has had slow starts the entire tournament, not surprised to see it again. i don't think he can get away with it today.

He might not give a frick after playing so long yesterday. Luckily, that racquet didn't hit anyone when he threw it. They said he would have been defaulted.
