Ah, good point. I wonder if that draws people away from the thread? Admins should just anchor it immediately after the thread is finished next time, not during it.

when its not stickied and its anchored it means the thread wont bump to the top and wont say new post if someone post in it.

It doesn't bump up to the top. Because this is stickied, it doesn't apply, but after it's unstickied, if you post in this thread, it won't come back to the top of the board.

I've realized from watching this (maybe it's because there's no American in medal contention here, so it could be different for the ladies tomorrow) (or maybe it's because unlike the previous night's, there aren't as many posters in this thread), but the team is much more entertaining than the individual competition.

I agree. I think part of it is that they keep switching between several different guys. Whereas in the team competition, all the team goes at once.
Plus, they're doing a terrible job of showing the overall scores.

That could be it, too.
Of course, 4 years ago, the men's all around was VERY entertaining, but Hamm was right in the thick of things, so that's probably why.
