So, LSU and Arkansas split Nicholls and Tulane as 4 seeds or does one go to whichever Alabama school doesn’t get SWACd
I say Nicholls comes here and Tulane goes to a top 5 not named LSU.

Why?
There really is no rhyme or reason for who goes where between those two teams.
There's even a chance neither end up in Baton Rouge. There's been cases of Louisiana teams politicking successfully to get sent out of state because they want to actually have the experience of traveling to places they've never been before..

Tulane to Arkansas or Florida makes sense if Nicholls is sent to The Box.
ETA: Vanderbilt also makes sense if they want to do a private schools in big cities matchup.

It’s not illogical to think a higher seeded team will get the worst team in the field, Arkansas and Florida both fit that bill geographically.

Or even Vandy.

I don't disagree, but the chances of neither being our 4 seed are rather slim. Tulane can politic all they want, they lost 40 baseball games this year. They're going to be placed in a top 5-6 regional. Our 4 seed will be Nicholls, some chance of Tulane, or a SWAC team I guess.

Slim chance, sure. Inevitably, I believe Nicholls comes to BR, FAMU goes to Gainesville, and Tulane goes to Fayetteville or Nashville.

That is awesome trivia that I never knew

Because they lost 40 games. They deserve to go to a higher seed. And, a higher seed deserves a 40 loss team more than LSU.

That's not how this works.

Never dreamed we would not be a Tournament team this season. We looked damn good early in the year beating Texas A&M, TCU and Michigan down in Houston. Started out I think 18-2. The wheels were completely starting to come off in the middle of the season.

Only three teams west of the Mississippi.

Amazing job Erik Bakich has done at Clemson in his 1st year. At one point, Clemson was 16-13 on the season then went 27-4 in the final 31 games. Won the ACC tournament, ranked in the top 5, hosting a regional, and a lock for a top 8 seed.

Arkansas, Wake, Florida, and Clemson (no order) announced at the top 4 seeds.
