Water is wet. That dumb bastard shot 46 (+11) on the back.

Spieth is currently in at +4. Cut line needs to go to +3 for him to not make it. And with the weather getting way worse now, I don't see that happening. Why do you need him out? Fantasy?

Horschel went 67-85.

Not sure if I've ever seen that before. That's quite the dropoff.

they really should go to double tees on th/fri, regardless of the long days ... it's 8 over there and a few groups still have 4 holes to play ...

Did a pool with 8 players and 2 alternates. Looks like all of my guys will make the cut. Phil was my first alternate.

It's a little different, but Curtis Strange opened the 1985 Masters with an 80. Then, he went 65-68-71 and nearly won the tournament.

We've seen the "Roy McIlvoy" strategy in a few majors. Never seen it in reverse though.

that's half the story! ... he was 1 shot behind after the 3rd round and came out hot on the 4th round, taking a 3 shot lead into the last 6 holes before hitting into the water on 13 and 15 and losing by 2 ...

In 99, Rod Pampling shot a 71 and was leading The Open after day one. He shot 86 on day two and missed the cut.

i feel like stenson might have to be the favorite at this point. he looked great today. will be fun seeing him paired with mickelson tomorrow.

don't trust keegan. obviously zach johnson has a chance.

kjeldsen's round was somewhat of a fluke. made every single putt.

i would say that someone at like -2 or -3 could go out early tomorrow morning and make a run at the leaders, but the guys who are -2 and -3 won't be teeing off that early. there's really not that many people ahead of them.

You think Stenson is favored to win over the guy one stroke ahead of him who happens to own 5 majors? Henrik Stenson is a well known choker. Golf analyst have been waiting for years for him to take a step forward, but every time he nears the big stage he trips and falls on his face.

weather doesn't look as bad tomorrow, according to forecasts. not sure what the gusts will look like, though.

If the weather is bad then Stenson should be strong. That dude hits solid every damn time.
