quote: Alabama is CLEARLY more deserving than Ohio State Why?
Because they didn't get plowed by 31 to an average team, because they didn't need to reel off 19 pts of 4th Qtr perfection to escape a home loss, and because they didn't have a double digit home loss flag planted on them..
They lost to their in-state rival on the road, with a beaten up LB corps, a team that has taken down two #1s in recent weeks(a team that played Clem to a 7-6 Halftime before netting but 75 yds 2nd half, and blew a 20-0 1st Qtr lead at LSU, aided by a late punt TD return)

They also have zero notable wins, zero conference championships, and zero reasons to bitch about anything with that schedule.

It is somewhat a negative, OSU had to run the table against a two loss team with late perfection to narrowly escape. At least as much a negative as it is an impressive positive.

Oh, there's more?
Bama is 2014 TCU. They should watch better teams play on TV this year.

No it isn't. It's a win over a top ten team. Bama doesn't have any of those.

PSU was only a 2 loss team because of this??
I mean PSU is a top 10 team, that's just a fact

On this we agree, it's just that tOSU isn't one of them, even if they beat Wisky.
Bama healthy, is one of the top four teams in 2017, even if not to usual Saban standards(his 2010 three loss squad would blast this one)

Neat. A consistent Ohio State is one of the top two teams in 2017.
Neither one of those things happened.

Alabama is 10-1
If the Bengals leave the NFL to go play Western Michigan today they don’t get to call that a win

So schedule Florida State and Mercer from now on.
...or, don't get blown out by Oklahoma at home and Iowa. Those two events are more defining and meaningful than the Mercer game (which says nothing) and beating a Florida State team that turned out to not be good (which also doesn't say much).
I hate Alabama. But, Ohio State just doesn't belong. A 2 loss Clemson, 2 loss Georgia are both more deserving as well.

Nah, I like replacing those two teams with Florida State and Mercer more.

They say quite a bit, actually. They show how weak Bama is this year. Neither team belongs, but if it comes down to those two, Bama belongs less.

Let me qualify this post with I have zero argument if Ohio State is held out. The Iowa loss was inexcusable.
That being said, posts like this are hilarious.
If Georgia loses this weekend, this deserved to go over Ohio State? If Ohio State were to win this weekend, their 3 best wins (Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin) will all likely be ranked higher than Georgia's best win (ND). Ohio State would be conference champions, Georgia wouldn't.

If we are being fair, PSU controlled that game. Ohio State stole it at the end. That's Ohio State's best win.

Any rational person would tell you Ohio State controlled the LOS that entire game and continually shot itself in the foot for the first 3 quarters.

Wisconsin would be Ohio State's best win. That point matters in the discussion. If they lose, it's obviously not even a discussion.

Ohio State pretty much fluked that game away for 3 quarters.
It was almost like it was inevitable that they were going to come back and win

Georgia's only losses would have come to a playoff participant. Clemson (who you failed to mention) would have beaten a playoff participant.
One of us feels strongly about Ohio State. The other is just analyzing the situation logically.
Ohio State hasn't looked like a great team all year. When you are blown out by Iowa that says something huge. I'd absolutely give the nod to Georgia over Ohio State, but the truth is neither are getting in over Alabama.

The win over PSU is still better than Alabama’s best win. I know Ohio St got in last year and didn’t win their division but that shouldn’t be so. You take the 5 power 5 champs and then the 4 highest ranked of those teams and have the playoff. 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.
Alabama needed to win last night to get in. They didn’t and now the little midget is complaining. Tough shite!!!
