The hype surrounding this kid is a bit over the top. Dude has a giant standard to reach to be considered successful.

Not to say that this doesn’t happen, but Vlad Jr. did get hurt in spring training so the service time argument is a little irrelevant.

This is probably what would have happened. There are a ton of obvious studs that started in the minor just for this reason.

Agreed. I'm just checking in to make sure there's the same level of outrage that there was when the same was done with Kris Bryant (and basically every other top prospect).

I saw on TV a little while ago that his hitting score on the 20-80 scale is 80. I don't know how often that happens. He about has to be Mike Trout II.
