Not even comparable. That was the B1G's first legitimate title this Century, yet people are acting like the whole conference has all of a sudden become relevant.

LSU eeked out what was essentially a home game against Wisconsin and auburn lost to Wisconsin. Ohio st beat the one awesome team from the SEC.

So what if you beat Bama. Play a Bama schedule, or any SEC schedule, then get back to me. Christ, at least Wisconsin has a pair, playing LSU and Bama 3 years straight. Illinois has 4 winning seasons in 15 years and fired their head coach a week ago. They do not factor into my argument in any way. They are the Kentucky or Vanderbilt of the B1G.

Last I checked both teams had a month to prepare and Ohio State suffered more injuries...

I don't even see why you care, the previous few years has been a significant blow to the SEC reputation.
Like I said, it was an incredible run, but they also play good football at other schools. It used to be true the other schools couldn't hang. They couldn't take the week to week physicality, but nowadays the Big SEC games are fricking arena league showcases. No defense. Ohio St would do just fine. Their athletes are just as good, their coach has already owned the conference before. You're living in 07. The SEC powerhouse simply doesn't exist anymore..

So the 10-2 (regular season) team that made the B1G championship game had 2 close games with 8-4 (regular season) SEC teams. That is more telling than how you're trying to spin it.
