They were 12th against the pass in the regular season. And don't try and down talk the Steelers defense.

The Colts were 14th against the pass in 2009, for comparison. So pretty much the same in that aspect.

So 2 spots is a huge difference? Talk down? Most analysts said going into this game the steelers secondary was the big weakness.

And again drew lit that same D up this season...

Rodgers had at least 5 drops tonight. His rating would have been higher than it was if not for those.

Brees was awesome in the Super Bowl last year. Rodgers was really good this year. You are acting like those numbers automatically prove that Brees is much better.

Yea he sure did. Not on quite as big of a stage though.

I think it's retarded that you refuse to even see another side of this argument. It seems to me you think Brees and Rodgers aren't even in the same galaxy.

A 3 point difference in passer rating where Rodgers had 1 sure TD dropped, another possible TD dropped, and some other key drops?

Rodgers has had 2 good seasons, Brees has had about 6, I'll take him.

Brees should have been at least 35/39 in the fricking super bowl dude don't tell me about drops.

You called them a great defense and then actually looked up the stats and you back tracked. So yes I can fricking read.

Where did I say they weren't in the same galaxy? Can you read? I asked you to make the case for ranking Rodgers ahead now and you really didn't have all that much to say.Rodgers is good, but drew is still better, the stats back that up. One game doesn't change that.

I remember one hitting Colston right in his face. Besides that Brees has been doing this for years.

Obviously

The fact that you responded to Rodgers' 2 dropped TDs with "So what? Brees had a pass dropped last year too" is laughable.

Those numbers are nearly identical and Rodgers' would have been better without the huge drops. Using those numbers to point out that Brees is better than Rodgers is terrible.

and while we are on the subject of the 09 Saints and 10 Packers, well, the 09 Colts were better than the 10 Packers. Undefeated in every game they attempted to win heading into the super bowl. The Vikings of 09 were better than the Pack of 2010. Of course the Saints were better.

I would call them a great defense, regardless of their secondary struggles.

I've backed up what I thought. Rodgers had an awesome season. Of course Brees is going to be higher than Rodgers in some categories. Brees throws a lot more short passes, so yes his completion percentage is going to be higher. And he has more attempts per game, so yea he's going to have more yards. Those stats don't always tell the full story.

Rodgers has had a QB rating over 100 two of the last three seasons. Brees has done that once, although his rating last year was one for the ages.

Fact is Brees played a better game against a better team than Rodgers did. Brees had a running game and still has the completions record in the SB.
