why has AIG 's stock been rising this week.

I bought up a few shares for fun when they were taking a beating in the press. Then from what I could tell from their ceo it seems the plan is to dissolve AIG, but the stock has risen up to 1.70$ I figured someone could enlighten me.

More than just fundamentals effect price movement. It's being traded on buy and sell volume.
