I've not paid much attention to the crypto world. I made a killing on Litecoin run up 5-6 yrs ago, sold, it dipped and I bought back in and the bottom fell out. Still made money. So I've kind of sat on the sidelines.
With the Treasury re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic, I've watched the cryptos take a run and then Z-cash jumped out at me.

I don't know much about it and started reading a little on it. But it has gone bonkers. Can anybody educate me on this crypto? where is it going to go?

I compared it to ripple:

ZCash: strict regulatory headwinds and delisting risks in regions cracking down on untraceable privacy coins. However, it recently saw major institutional interest following filings for spot exchange-traded funds like Grayscale's ZCSH.

It's a privacy focused shitcoin that has pretty cool tech however its creation and founders give a lot of uncertainty on its true decentralization.

A better privacy focused shitcoin imo is Monero (XMR) as it has similar creation date and background as Bitcoin. Really interesting background if you want to go down the rabbit hole. Started from the community on the original bitcoin forums based on another technology that's founder is still unknown. It is banned on all centralized exchanges because it is legitimately untraceable. It can be argued it is a better implementation of Satoshi's vision for P2P currency than Bitcoin.

All that said, shitcoins are going to shitcoin and your best bet is to sell it if you are up. The long end return of all shitcoins are most likely zero
