Short term. Ran through my emergency fund. Nothing major at all
I would say having a gambling problem is pretty major

build a real honest budget. shite in is shite out.
cut everything non essential first. no going out to eat, no drinking, no smoking / vaping, etc.
see what that gets you. The LAST thing you want to do is negatively impact your credit score further. Pay your bills. If you need more money, get a 2nd job. Sell assets you are right side up on if you have any.

My credit score is not great. Around 600
Will be hard to qualify for a future home with this score.

I have made a few poor financial decisions, but nothing crazy.
List some. If you can't afford your home, some of the things might be "crazy."
Don't beat yourself up. That does no good.

From your OP, you bought a house in 2024, you make more money now, and most importantly, you are basically debt free. I am missing something.

I see posts talking about degenerate player prop bets and asking the OT how much have they won on scratch-offs and powerball. So on top of a likely gambling problem, you're neck deep in one of the most expensive hobbies in the world. And you were just posting about buying a whole home generator for the house you can't afford back in May 2026. You got a spending problem brother. You need to get serious about your finances to keep the house, or sell the house and rent a shitty apt so that you have the money to shave a few strokes off your handicap.

There is no reason for a single man with any kind of decent job to have a credit score lower than 800.

Never had credit card until 2 months ago, credit score now 727, was 689. Wish I had started sooner using credit card for gas but that’s a blanket statement BB.
Own a home and fully paid 2025 car in cash. I think finance is more nuanced than just credit score

Credit score is the biggest made up crap ever.
Just saw this as a reply, I still can’t comprehend how Americans are so tied to a credit score but we rebuke at China’s social credit score (I’m not advocating for it)

Can you pick up a 2nd job on weekends?
If not either get room mate or sell it
Do you have an emergency fund? Can you sell anything?
