Went to a BMW dealership today

Wasn't serious about buying anything but was checking out an M3 for the hell of it. They still have a bunch of 2008s on the lot.

The sales guy offered me 2K off the invoice price, on the spot. I guess he was really desperate. That's almost unheard of in the world of Beamers in the bay area atleast.

I walked away but this was a first for me at a luxury car dealer. I think those guys are hurting worse than I am.

Bling has been replaced by Frugal. Don't want you to be the last to get the word. Less chrome, more stuff that retains or gains value.

Besides, if you wait a year or two you can probably buy an almost new BMW for peanuts.

I actually doubt this because they're adjusting production numbers to reduce inventory build up. Anything more expensive than a 3 series will need to be ordered to build. So while they will get cheaper because of demand, they won't go for peanuts.

Don't be so sure of where prices will go. My father bought 40 acres of good productive bottom land in 1933 for one barrel of flour.
