SAN JOSE, Calif., April 20, 2021 /PRNewswire/ --

Venmo today announced the launch of crypto on Venmo, a new way for Venmo's more than 70 million customers to buy, hold and sell cryptocurrency directly within the Venmo app. Beginning to roll out today, crypto on Venmo offers customers a way to start their crypto journey alongside the many ways they already use Venmo to spend and manage their money.

Venmo customers can start their crypto journey with as little as $1 by clicking on "Crypto" in the Venmo menu at the top right in the app.

Payment processor middle man, adds another currency to collect fees. News at 11

At this point any middle man must be salivating at the idea of unconstrained/unregulated fees on crypto in the short term

yea I don't have it either. apparently it's a rollout

but you're still only owning what amounts to a bitcoin derivative

I'd like some more clarity on how much "real" bitcoin venmo/paypal actually own

Why do you think I posted that

Anybody who lets PayPal control their money is an absolute yard. They will steal that shite in a heartbeat if you are any kind of vendor or have income coming in. They never side with the seller ever

I have been saying Texas should make their own coin. I'm starting to think it would be a better idea to somehow implement a system of commerce for crypto currencies within the state amongst the taxpayers and the private sector. You could rake in taxpayers from high tax states at an even greater speed and force the Federal government's hand and other states to compete. I'm sure there are legal barriers
