Turnkey New Construction Contractors around BR

Anyone have any recs or experiences they would like to share? Building probably between Brusly and Port Allen, decided to take a chance on a 2600 square foot house with DSLD and that was a terrible decision. Signed my contract cancellation papers today, got my upgrades deposit back.
Now we are looking at doing a turnkey new construction home on a couple of different lots, ranging between .33-.5 acres. Wife wants it done before May, so I told her we better get on the ball. I'd appreciate any advice anyone could give, will be the first time going through the full construction process.

I doubt you’re in the house in May. But as an aside, how much are you budgeting for the lot and house?
We keep toying with the idea of building vs. buying and renovating.

Lot and house, around 320k. It would cut my commute to work in half, or I could move a few miles from where I am now and get 2.5 acres in the country for less than a half acre. Even toying with the idea of a "bardominium."

I don't venture into Port Allen or Grisly, I only go as far as Zachary. But, May isn't a realistic time frame unless you have cash and are flexible to the plan you want. We have people meet with a designer to pick items before we start to avoid delays and it still takes us 4.5-5 months to build. That also doesn't leave any time for banking, which can be done until the plans are ready for appraisal.
If you have cash, a plan, and find a builder this weekend, you probably could make May, if not...... that's a poor expectation.

Bardwell or Patterson homes

You are talking about May 2019, right? There is no way you are buying a lot, closing, getting plans completed, hiring a builder and completing the build in 6 months...

Call Mandy @ Advanced Builders 225-413-5962. Drive through Lexington Estates, she's built several houses & many of them still under construction.
