Trump's plan is to manufacure here. There are companies already set in motion to get this going. It's not going to happen overnight.

And I don't have issue with the things you want to see made in the US. All of those things are important things we should not rely on others for. The items I import are essentially luxury items. Life goes on with out them.

No it won't. We are already producing.
I agree with BCreed on this one. If it was a national priority and we didn't let loons stand in the way, we would be talking a few years, not decades. For starters, mining/processing rare earths is small scale for the mining industry.
