I bought SQQQ in late August thinking we were at a peak, and wasn’t able to get above water until Friday. I’m out now safely, but it was stressful seeing an obscene run up in the Nasdaq.

Not as necessarily, hedging long positions with short positions can help offset losses. It’s not for everyone but for some it isn’t a terrible idea.
