Thoughts on Entergy stock?

I am asking out of curiosity because it is a local stock. They have raised the price point and have a two for one forward split upcoming.

What “LSUFanHouston” said, but still considered a decent investment. Dividends and the public service monopoly guarantee thing has value.

I can tell you are only an Entergy customer.
It shot up this past week for a reason... Regulated monopoly, great outcomes from hurricane season, just lessened their risks with SERI settlement, in a position to grow, internal premier initiatives.
I say it goes up a good bit over the next 3-5 years. Entergy's only major risk is hurricane season which we are about to be out of.

I bought about a year ago in the low 90's for the dividend. Cant complain really.

In the utility sector I’ve been selling ED (ConEd) and buying more D (Dominion) and adding XEL (Xcel).
