I’m the one who brought up Clinton reducing the debt in response to a poster that said it hasn’t happened. So that’s why I said frick off.

Was just stating a fact and not at all comparing it to the current debt but apparently you read it that way.

You mean the party that wants to increase the deficit by 4T?

Because of renewing tax breaks that have been around for 8 years? This same talking point? If tariffs are the end of the world, what would be not renewing those tax breaks for everyone after all this inflation? This has to be a must in this board’s world? And what is this looked at in one microcosm event? Why can we not look at everything in a whole over say 2 years since that is the time until midterms to see what we can do as a possible net positive or negative for the debt?

Day like 40. Trump is a tard and a failure. Dude mostly keeps producing wins unless this board is just full of government workers that he has had fired which I don’t really care about their opinions. Welcome to the real world for those cats. You will survive.

Everyone over 40 is a boomer but only boomers 50+ will be able to retire. 30-50 year olds now will just work til they die

At least nobody here is younger than 25, those people will never be able to truly live. They’ll be eating bugs and living in the pod

Flinging around insults and strawman arguments only reveals your insecurities. Meanwhile, thinking Republicans will actually reduce the debt might be the definition of gullible.

The one thing both parties reliably agree on in D.C. is running up the tab, then pointing fingers.

My favorite part of all of this is you have people saying that the tariffs are amazing and pretty soon we aren't going to have to pay income taxes because the tariffs will be funding everything etc etc etc

Your favorite part?

No one is saying that but Trump to honeypot the idiots. It’s all negotiations. It’s not rocket science but the smooth brain Dems somehow keep falling for it

I have stated numerous times I honestly do not know expect DC as a whole to get the deficit down one way or another. I get you may not have seen those posts.

But I am down to let the man try for short term pain. If we fail we are going to see way worse pain in most of our life times.

No one has given evidence that we can prevail with the deficit growing for eternity at this rate and not suffer an ill fate eventhough I keep asking for that. If they could I’d shut up and be down with them saying Trump is dumb.

We have the one man trying to do something if anything. All I get is some unprovable opinions that’s he’s only doing stuff for his buddies and not for the country and there are no efforts to fight any deficits.

If you are basically at retirement this small correction should not be affecting you or you are not allocated correctly for your risk and situation. I do not get the sky is falling at this time crying other than pure TDS if no one can prove the financial cliff will not eventually erase it all.

I mean why is it so stupid to try and do something even if it fails when all roads point to failure if we do not try? What are we trying to save by making 5% this month for if it’s for nothing in 10 or more years. No one has bother to prove to me this is not the case.

Ok. Just randomly coming out with it in response when it was so incomparable just seemed so odd that I couldn’t help but comment on the strangeness of it. It was like 3 people talking about winning a lottery and a kid saying they also found a penny on the ground. While fact was irrelevant.

You seemed to be the one that lost it and told me to go frick myself so sure I’ll grow up. But any way I will move on.

Trump is trying to enrich himself but for some reason he hates the libs and Chinese

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

I was born cooked. Everyone in my generation and younger was too. The best thing that could happen to us is if Trump really messed it up (on purpose or not) and the whole system collapsed. A shot at true self determinism would be crazy

The only other option is continued serfdom, but that’s been our whole lives. That’s most likely what will happen. The debt won’t get paid down either way

There are a shitload of people on the pb talking about how we need these tariffs to pay down debt and fund our government so we can reduce or eliminate taxes.

Market went up like 28% year 1 of brandon

I imagine most of the people who post to MT regularly saw their net worth increase dramatically over the past 4 years.

As you guys can tell I’m big on just doing everything to just take one last step at tackling the debt. I never expect it at least in my life time to see 0. But I’d love to see us just operate green. That’s all that would matter. We know we are allowed to function at $37T. Well we can at $36.9T, then $36.8T and so on however slowly that has to happen. #1 it has to stop increasing.

Now do I expect politicians to get in the way and we never get there. Yes I do. But I’m still willing to try because if not my future and the next generations will be irrelevant even if I’m worth $1B. The dollar will not be worth even toilet paper because I will not even have physical cash to wipe my arse.

So with that sad, I agree with you guys us not paying taxes and shite in our lifetime is insane. Now if the system wasn’t ran like shite for 25 years with fraud and waste we probably should not have been paying hardly crap for taxes and been funding a lot of stuff other ways but it’s too late for that now.
