I kept buying to average down my initial cost of $20 share, now sitting on 15000 shares at 6.11.

I had never traded before. In March I opened up an account and deposited $300 to play around. I eventually added $200 more. I wanted to play/learn it.

As of this morning my $500 investment was over $1000

Yes I wish I put more in but I wasn't in a position.

This started as a play money account, not my retirement.

How old is he and how much money was it? If he's 30 it's amazing he pulled it off. If he's 60 he needs to have a mental checkup for doing that. Glad it worked out for him, but there are lots of stories of people doing that with bad results.

I did it with MPC. To say it’s paid off is an understatement. Bought in at 17. I’m still young so it was worth the “risk”
