I am leaving Chase because I had fraudulent charges on my account and they failed to reimburse those charges. I live in Baton Rouge.

Why do I feel there's more to the story here? If it was truly fraudulent then Chase will not hold you liable for the charges. Something doesn't make sense here.

I just left Regions and switched to Iberia. I have been happy and my buddy made the transition very smooth and easy.

Any recommendations for a small business bank around BR?

As long as it's local you're good. I've had a fantastic experience with Investar.

I'm with Capital One and happy with them. They monitor my spending and activity extremely close. Even when I tip heavily, they bring it up to make sure no fraudulent charges are being made. I've turned others on to them.

i am going through the same BS with chase. we have been waiting since Feb for $1900 to be reimbursed. found out yesterday the claim was closed because I deposited 2000 cash to cover my mothers funeral expenses. (guess they figured the theives gave us our money back?) Long story short, wifes diaper bag was stolen with debit cards credit cards and check book. the theives tried to make a purchase with our safire card and it was declined. which was when we realized her wallet was stolen. Called chase cancelled credid cards, debit cards and notified that checkbook was stolen. We couldn't close the checking account yet due to auto drafts and checks waiting to clear. A few days later get a call from a chase bank in Dallas saying they had my wifes ID and someone wrote a check for 2000 and withdrew $1900 in the same transaction. They kept my wifes ID but still gave these people the money!!! we closed that account. turns out it was another persons check that was stolen from metairie. in march we get a 2000 returned check fee debited from our other chase checking account. It has been a complete nightmare trying to get our money back.

The reason they failed to reimburse my claim was because I had venom activity on the same day my card was stolen. Venmo is linked to my checking account not my actual debit card. Because I did not have a debit card, I was having to have my friends pick up my lunch, drinks, etc. that day and paid them via venmo. It is a bunch of BS.

Don't bank at Chase but have a Chase Visa and they knocked about 5 fraud attempts in the head before I even knew about them.
