UPST has been a monster swing trade, just buying and selling in my Roth over and over with the movement.
Whale sheeet.
I'm shitting the bed on this one right now. Don't understand the massive short interest on this one.
Maybe a ton of defaults coming?

Financials move with rates. Falling yields not good for them.

Not that I can tell. DOW, S&P, and NASDAQ are all essentially flat. Meanwhile almost everything on my watchlist is struggling.

This is called “painting the tape.”
If someone just glanced at the major averages, all looks well.
Meanwhile, “under the hood” things are extremely weak.

Momentum stocks have been getting pounded for a week

Which publicly traded company is the largest manufacturer of Private Property/No Trespassing signs? The current administration has suggested a door to door vaccination push. That would suggest to me that millions of Americans will be purchasing these signs.

Think we all need to make a better effort to tell the board when they are in good spots before a potential breakout, instead of telling people after it is too late.
Like, I said CAT the other day that seemed to be in good position

I have heard several analysts say that growth stocks (esp tech) are on the verge of making a run. They said this yesterday. Got crushed today.
Too any conflicting messages with inflation, people saying there is a new high about to bust out for a while, people saying there might me a hugh downturn in sep and oct. people saying the economy is booming, which it really isn't under the hood. just a lot of garbage pulling me in different directions.

I'm thinking of doing shorter and shorter swings and just chip away at more and more profits like when I first started and I thought losing 200 bucks was an absolute disaster
Be much more targeted in the stocks I pick

No doubt. The higher the volatility, the wider the swings. Much profit to be made.

still trying to figure out what the catalyst was today for the massive hits, other than a slight pull back because things have been relatively up.
