I actually bought some DS for a "penny". It's in a really good spot.

Hope all the Biden voters in here enjoy this geriatric a-hole tanking the market with one damn sentence.
Proposes 43% capital gains tax. Jesus H....

Gotta love a lazy arse policy that will crush average people like us just trying to save and retire comfortably.
Problem is not one of these idiots understand the difference between retail and institutional and the implications for this blanket bullshite.
Also Roku still remaining in the shitter.

And too many ignoramuses assume this will only target the wealthy. Well when it tanks the whole damn market it's taking everybody's retirement plans with them.
Biden probably loaded up on SPY puts right before announcing this crap too.

He's too old and decrepit to do anything like this. He can't even send an email.
Pelosi and Kamela on the other hand....

SNAP did well with earnings. Should bode well for PINS Tuesday

Man, SHW and TGT have been absolute monsters for me

weekly postmortem
down -1.5% for the week, which after the MON/TUE bloodletting is a minor miracle. i sold out of GOGO and loaded the boat with PINS.
MTD up 2%
portfolio reached a high for the month on 4/15, down 4% from that.
YTD i am only slightly up, but up nonetheless

YTD my mutual funds have FAR outperformed my individual equity bets. let us all keep top of mind that 2020 was the outlier, and very few of us can pick stocks with any reliable return

Where are you from your ATH in Feb?
I'm still way off, but the last couple days has been a very good step in the right direction.
I also loaded up on some PINS, shares and calls. Unfortunately I had some calls that expired today for a brutal loss, partially because of Biden deciding to tank the market right as they were approaching my sell price. But I got a few more before SNAP earnings and I'll ride thru PINS earnings next week. I'm expecting PINS to get back to the 80s on a great earnings report

SE had a good week. Fully recovered from the MON/TUE dip and right back above 250. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on SE lately and the most common adjective I see is “inevitable”
steady march towards dominance, up and to the right.
when the SE Asia and Brazil markets are cornered they should have an Amazon-like explosion in profits. I particularly think that the way that they have integrated gamification into both Shopee and SeaMoney is brilliant psychological marketing (based on Garena)
monster in the making insulated by the heavy Tencent investment from any meddling by China
If you missed AMZN and MELI, SE is next

compelling chart also
the only time in the past year it’s spent any meaningful time below the the 50 day was March/april of this year. Otherwise all dips are immediately bought and the resolving lows are always higher than the previous lows
keep zooming out and you see less and less volatility and more of a steady climb. One year ago it was 50, today 250. If you follow the chart the line leads straight to 1000

Currently have 40 shares of PINS. Thinking of upping it to 50-60 prior to ER.
ETA: I see Albertsons om Monday. I really had no idea they still existed.
