Give a share I think still exists but it's mostly a hassle.

I would advise against it due to costs and complexity of actually moving or selling.

Show them how to setup an online brokerage account, they will thank you later

That's not really a thing any more. You could print a commemorative certificate using one of many online templates. There are also companies that you can order them from but they are expensive for a memento with no intrinsic value.

Maybe consider something a different like a TESLA matchbox w the share price and date etched or painted on the hood.

I helped someone who inherited physical stock certificates back in the 90s. GE I think it was. Major PITA to get them transferred to the new owner.

Required a special medallion signature guarantee, which was hard to get, and sending all the paperwork to the transfer agent, which was a bank in Boston. Probably would’ve been cheaper to just burn the certificates.

That sounds like a great idea.

Thanks for all the advices. After some searches it does seem like a not so great idea.
