SPCX options are expected to start this Tuesday June 16.

Expect high volatility and time value premiums.

I plan on writing short term covered calls on my shares if the premiums are high enough.

Also will be writing one day condors and put spreads.

Gonna sell naked calls.

What could go wrong?

Not strictly opposed to selling naked calls but I wouldn’t do this with SPCX. IMO.

Can’t wait for SPCX options Tuesday. Hopefully they will have the expirations Mon, Wed, and Fri.

Short term options vs long term success (capping upside with selling covered calls)? Are you long SPCX at all?

Selling short term covered calls only if the premiums are high enough and they will also be out of the money.

I am overall long on SPCX but the premiums may be too juicy not to participate. We will see come Tuesday.

I usually enter pure option plays rather than owning stock. I sell mostly put spreads on Mag7 and one day condors on high premium stocks like MU and AMD currently are but those can change.

I never buy calls or puts unless they are part of a spread or condor.

I vary rarely sell covered calls.

No more time and effort trying to teach people that don’t want to be taught. No more trying to convince people that will never be convinced. frick your downvotes.

I’m willing to post all my option trades regarding SPCX in real time.

Do I guarantee automatic wins? Of course not. No one wins all the time. All you have to do is win more than you lose.

Anyone want me to do this to learn or am I talking to brick walls? I’ll give to the Tuesday morning at market open for responses. If none or all negatives, then anchor this thread or delete it admins.

What say yall? I love to teach but if no one gives a frick then what’s the point? Anyone?

My son was under an NDA but he catered the SpaceX IPO party, yesterday. Let me know, today.

I am interested in learning.

I'd like to see the real time trades. Not sure what the down votes are about.

Cool. Will do.

The down votes are that people don’t like me.

Anyway, here is your homework due Monday evening (and any others that are following). Going to assume no one knows anything about options:

1. Understand what an option is.
2. Understand what a put and call is.
3. Understand what is time value and intrinsic value is of an option.
4. Understand what a covered call is.
5. Understand how to read an option chart using your brokerage firm website.

I will be doing condors and put spreads as well on SPCX but don’t worry about that for now. We will start with the basics and the most conservative option play which is the covered call on SPCX. Once we have that down, we can learn about the put spreads and then the condors.

Walk before you can run.

We will be using the Socratic method. Feel free to challenge me and I will do the same.
