Reddit phenom was just a classic "pump and dump".
I can’t imagine how stupid some people are to have pumped huge chunks of their savings or portfolio into GME thinking it was headed to $1000/share.
At least the young guys who are experiencing this at 18-24 years old have time to recoup their losses over time.

HF lost half of its money by some Autists getting together. That’s enough shits and giggles for me.

It was. And if you don’t believe it, you’re just a disingenuous revisionist

Huh? Well I guess if you're using pe and profit as the fundamentals. I think of tech companies as a bundle of contracted cash flow. If you do thst you'll see how they get to market value quickly

Of course, but people have to accept reality that we live in an unfair and unjust society that protects the ruling class at all costs. The lower classes will never truly revolt, so they get away with it.
Maybe no one could predict how they would stop the bleeding, but hedge funds worth billions don’t just get wiped out by the proles.

I’m not. I’m not well versed enough in finances by any means to make any definitive claims about a stock’s potential worth. However, I can say that historically, it can be said that the rich will take advantage of established structures to maintain their power and status. Whether it was government overreach, brokers slowing down buyers/sellers, or whatever, the stock was never going to jump so high that the billionaires would be forced to distribute their funds to a large group of average citizens.

It’s happened before multiple times. Zero fee brokerages aka RH is what tilted the balance and what everyone left out of the equation. If it weren’t for that, the short squeeze play was almost a sure bet

The adoption has been slow

It’s happened that retail investors squeezed hedge funds at this level? Or hedge funds squeezed hedge funds at this level?

So if you believe this to be true, and I agree to some point, you dediced to take big losses on this to remind yourself of that?

I didn’t decide that at all. Not sure where you got that.

You can play nuances but VW and Overstock wasnt hedge fund vs hedge fund. Herbalife is probably the only one that sticks out

So how much did you make on it?

I don't really believe the ones that are saying that shite

this is normal for penny stocks and anyone with any sense saw it coming.

I lost $20. You’re assuming I got in with 1 share expecting it to go to $1000/share.
