Rate of Return This Year So Far On 401K

17.89%. Is this considered average, good or above par for this economy. What should be my yearly target? I'm 28.

8-9% return annualized should be good over time. This year will be an anamoly, as equities having been killing it so the market return has been pretty high.

Which should be around 8-9.

I think inflation is traditionally 4% annually.
