This is a tough this to monetize and another way to abuse the systems at play.

Can someone familiar with trading options tell me if I purchase a Jan 12 put will I be able to exercise until Jan 12 or ONLY in that month. I know there are options that do both, but I can never which is more common. TIA

American options allow early exercise, European do not.
If you don't know the difference than it really doesn't matter to you (not a flame). Outside of some rare situations, it is always better to sell the options back into the open market than to exercise early.
Disclaimer: options are dangerous as hell and should not be used by anyone except extremely sophisticated investors.

If it's an option on a U.S. listed security, I'm pretty sure it's going to be American. But I'm new to options, so someone needs to confirm.

Actually has nothing to do with that, its just nomenclature.

No, I wasn't establishing a link between the U.S.'ness and the American'ness. I was just saying I'm pretty sure most of the options on stocks listed on our exchanges are American-style options.

Oh my bad, yeah without a doubt.

Is that a super skinny belt?

I'll be wearing mine on sat.

I will hopefully be too busy celebrating and lose my belt. I am going to cry if I drop the ball again.

I'm re-reviewing but its more our less a waste of time at this point, to be honest. Taking practice test tomorrow, certain it will destroy the shred of confidence I have remaining at this point.

Is it D-Day for y'all on Level II this weekend?

It's more like hitler in his bunker with the US forces encroaching.
I am not sure who I am yet.
Eta: how is the bar review going?

Bar's going well. LA is not nearly as different as everyone makes it out to be. The concepts are identical in the majority of cases and only slightly different in most of the remaining. Terminology is a bit different but most of it relates to property and I remember it from LA real estate school.
Good luck this weekend.
