Can someone explain what pulse is for someone who is just getting into crypto?
I read the thread and everything is in another language to me.

Sure.

Are you familiar with Ethereum?

Pulsechain is a fork of ethereum.

Pulse is the native coin on pulsechain.

As an end user, it'll operate just like ethereum but with very low fees.

Thank you, I did some reading on it outside of this board and I understand what it is.
How do I buy in though? That's what confuses me. I don't understand the sacrifice and such.

You can't buy pulse until mainnet is launched.

You can still sacrifice for pulsex, which is the unswap fork and the most liquid dex coming to pulsechain.

Pulsechain has faster through put also. I wouldn’t sacrifice for pulse now, the rate is bad like 3 pulse per $1. Wait till after launch. Pulse is deflationary. Will launch with full supply. Oh and if you have erc20’s in your wallet they will be copied to pulse. Richard is bringing the whole system state over. Bad and good news for the nft world, bad news is there will now be a copy of your nft on pulse and eth. Good news is fees are cheap. Like a penny cheap. If you want to make mad gains you should sacrifice for pulsex. It’s the DEX on pulsechain. $280 million sacrificed in 3-4 days. Trying to save all you who got wrecked with gamecoin.

It’s a fork of pancake swap.

It’s a sacrifice for freedom of movement. Instead of a presale (taxable event) you sacrifice and receive your coins in an airdrop. They will be airdropped at 0 value and then you will have price discovery.

Is there anyway a boomer like me can purchase PULSE (once available) on coin base without being on the backside of the curve?

Not right now. Maybe down the line. You'd be best fit to learn defi and buy pulse on PulseX once mainnet launches.

No coinbase man.

Not your keys, not your coins.

Crypto was invented to get rid of middle men (the banks). Coinbase is the middle man.

Still trying to wrap my head around this.

On the PulseX site, it states all the sacrificed amount is distributed to everyone that sacrificed, so in theory, you can determine a value at launch based on the sacrificed totals?

Then it just comes down to the trading pairs listed?

You are given the coins based on the amount you sac. They are worth $0.

Once live the market (what people are willing to buy and sell for) will set the price.

I.e. first buy sets the first price….goes from there.

I think you're overthinking

Right, but what I am getting at is no one is going to list for a loss so we could essentially determine a floor?

Like saying a price of $0 is just a play on words; right? No one is selling their sacrificed amount for less.

So what do I need to do to get prepared to buy for the launch?

Bots man. The liquidity will be there. Richard has AMM going in and setting things up. I’m sure bots will be the first movers.

If you can move faster than them go for it. I dont see why someone would want to sell so early

But essentially, yes, it will start at $0. But will be there for a second before the bots move the price. Then it’s off to the races with people swapping.

I'd guess day 1 once volume levels, we'd probably see somewhere within a few deviations of the sac price. $1/10,000 coins or $0.0001/coin.

This is going to be fun.

Fortunes will be made

My opinion: From what I can tell, people are gunning for hex and pulse. PulseX seems to be the least wanted of the 3 right now. But, since a lot of people missed out on the pulse sac or wished they’d have sac’d more, they’re putting a lot into the pulsex sac. They will try to swap pulsex for hex/pulse.

We have 2 days of only being able to trade within the pulse ecosystem. Once those bridges are set after those 2 days, new money will be poring in. That’s when the real games start.

Also have to remember that all erc20’s on dex’s will be copied over to pulse. Going to be interesting to see how those work out

I am interested in the fee's and Defi reward structure. At the end of the day, people chase yield.
