I’ve been investing for a long time. I know what I’m doing. Bitcoin is a flash in the pan. You’re trying to complicate something that’s real simple.
I can explain the flaws in bitcoin for you but I can’t understand it for you. You’re far too closed minded for that.
Keeping my wealth in the USD is straw man and a weak one.
Bottom line here-
Trump isn’t going to buy trillions of DOLLARS worth of bitcoin to use as some sort of reserve. He’s pandering for votes.

You're strawmaning quite a bit here for the sake of goading people. I seriously doubt anyone on this board keeps their wealth in USD, or any other currency, and I'm fairly certain you know that.

The best thing that Trump could say today is that he is going to eliminate taxes on Bitcoin transactions. Bitcoin would go through the roof.

Lol Lummis better talk big on crypto, her entire campaign has been financed by kraken and the like for years.
She has tried to pass multiple bills "regulating" crypto for a awhile now. But never got any support because it basically removes any restraints to the industry. She is just doing what she has been paid to do.
Good luck to those who are believing Trump here. I think the party stand stated by Vivek was to play nice until the election is over

I would have no issue with this, as long as it extends to other traditional "currencies" as well. It's been a longtime libertarian want for gold and silver to be treated as true currency, removing taxes on their use.
But, the federal government doesn't like anything on equal footing with the USD, so it would surprise me if any of that would actually pass any time soon.

I can't ever see congress passing a no taxes on crypto bill. Democrats have never seen a tax they didn't like and Republicans will never get enough support for this when stocks are taxed to death.
