What about my loan? I have three years left on my '00 Tahoe.

The difference between killing cows and destroying cars is that cows cost money to be kept alive during times of low beef prices. Cars are like refrigerators. They just sit there unsold until the price goes down
you don't think there are storage costs for cars?

You have to be a better horse trader than they are. Patience is a virtue. All things come to he who waits, etc. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

It makes no sense to buy a car now, no matter how good the deal looks. The deals will get progressively better as the year rolls on.
Well, damn, that sucks for me if your prediction is right.
I turned in a leased car I had on January 2nd. I've been looking for a replacement since probably mid November, but I'm REALLY picky, lol. But I do need one really soon as it's been 2 weeks without one. Sucks that I cant wait it out til the end of the year if your prediction holds true.

You have hit upon one of the great terrifying consequences of deflation. People stop buying NOW because they EXPECT prices to be LESS in the future.
The population of the money board is so far from representative of society at large it's not even funny. The poliboard is exponentially more mainstream than the MT, and even they have proven to be a poor barometer of public sentiment.
Main street has not become sophisticated enough to know what is happening. They have put spending on hold because they fear for their jobs, not because they are waiting for a sale.
