I am getting sick to my stomach waiting to get verified by Kraken thinking if this May 31 thing blows up. I bought BTC but that won't be in Polo till 6/2. I want to straight buy ETH but can't because of Kraken taking so long and all the other exchanges don't work in Hawaii. Anyone else can think of an exchange to directly buy ETH?

Kicking myself for not taking more at 113. Can't wait for this week to get started. This has brought me so much entertainment. I don't see it going below 150 again.

Been buying on coinbase. Tell me about why and how to get on poloniex. A lot more to take in on that site vs CB. I'm in a buy and hold mindset. Seems as though I'm paying too much on CB in both ETH coin cost and purchase fees. Thanks.
Plus, I had a $2500 purchase in from CB at $119 that failed to process and showed that my $2500 was nolonger available so I had to incrementally buy in at $140, 160, 190 as my dollars became available.

Yeah, I think Kraken is in a backlog. I've been verifying (for Tier 2*) since last Friday (a little over a week now).
I don't anticipate making many moves before the 31st, unless we get hit with a dip before then. Hopefully Gemini/Kraken catch up before then so I can shift away from CB.

Any hardware wallets you suggest? I want a Nano Ledger but they are out everywhere except overseas

Ether that you are holding or Ether you sell and have USD in coinbase you should move to a hardware wallet? Also, if you sell Ether on coinbase, where does your USD sit?

If you sell your ETH on coinbase it goes to your linked bank account. Takes 2-3 days I believe

Oh, so you cant have any USD staying in coinbase? You would have to then repurchase Ether and wait another week for clearing?

Yes coinbase is more for buying and holding longterm. I plan to move them to hardware wallet once I can get one. Trading would be on poloniex or gemini sites. Not familiar with them though
