Think its why we need to see alts decouple from both bitcoin and Ethereum. Makes no sense to me why we have good new blockchain projects crippled by the price of old blockchain tech . I believe well see that in the future .

Not gonna lie I am pretty worried for the short term after reading that. I guess I need to start looking into margin trading. Seems like a way to keep my head above water while this market gets a lot worse before getting better.

Check that twitch stream out. I’ve learned more about trading in the past couple weeks from it than I’d ever find out on my own or in here

Go on twitch and look for the 24/7 crypto world news stream. They just watch price movements and analyze charts all day and talk about why the movements happen

The only way we will see that is with a direct fiat on ramp to alts.

Great CNBC article today...

There's only one survivor of this year's cryptocurrency slaughter: VeChain

All of the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap are down for the year. Except for one, VeChain.

That digital currency has gained more than 28 percent since January 1, which one analyst says is thanks to big-name partnerships and a unique structure that incentivizes investors not to sell.

Dreaux, I pulled a you this morning and may be getting lucky.

Decided to throw into NEO at .007007 BTC and it began to slowly shoot up....then just jumped about .0002 in 5 minutes.

Yeah, I feel you. As soon as I posted that, it stalled and retracted a bit. I don't want to jump the gun just yet, but I'm watching it closely.

ETA: What do you think about NEO as a long-term hold? I mean, this was into the $190s just a couple months back. I guess the concern right now is, is crypto truly dead?

It was trading at over $8 two months ago. I wouldn't say it survived anything

I think its great. I think buying anything now, until we see more bulls in the market, is silly

I see it both ways. Somebody will be right in the end. Question is who and that's a total crap-shoot. I did sell and took my profits back into BTC, just upping my holding there for now. I'm still going to keep my eyes on it, though.

You see it both ways as saying crypto is dead?

I didn't say it was. I half-jokingly asked if it was. I have no idea, but I would have to say on the whole, my opinion is "no". I think a lot of coins are going to fall by the wayside, though.

Crypto is dead. It’s official. I’ll buy your VET off of you for .0060 ETH at the current price.

Well, that confirms it's indeed alive and kicking!
