the concern isnt your assets "disappearing", but random double-charges appearing from semi-recent purchases bought with a debit card/credit card.
For now, I'd unlink your bank account/card just until this blows over and keep an eye on your pending/posted transactions.
Personally, I don't keep any assets on coinbase. All my crypto is sitting in various altcoins on binance. The absolute safest thing to do is send it to an offline hard wallet but that can be a PITA.
You can do whatever you want/are most comfortable with. For me, I'm not that worried about the coinbase stuff from a personal standpoint; more concerned with how it will impact the market going forward.
If you dont use USAA/scotiabank and did not use a debit card, you're probably fine unless new info comes out.

VEN steadily rising all day. Whole market is up, but it appears to be by substantially more. Pretty crazy....

I last swung to BTC and back in, so that's what I'm watching as I have a larger unused balance of BTC left over versus ETH. It's crossed over the .00059 area vs. BTC.
When I last bought it, it was at .00052 BTC.

some thoughts on VEN-
VEN has had a lot of news in the past few months overshadowed by crashes here and there. Also a rebranding ceremony at the end of the month- this is typically accompanied by official announcements of partnerships- some known, some unknown.
With the hypetrain around VEN, I expect them to be the darling of the month. Typically around hype-events, you see a rise with a corresponding dip as the coin becomes over-bought as well as people taking profits.
So, barring some crazy announcement like an official PBoC partnership (unlikely), I am going to probably take profits as close to the peak of the hype as possible.
My friend who got me into ven expects $25-30 but I'm not quite as optimistic. I'd be happy with $15.

I have a huge holding in VEN , I fully believe in the project . Not so much ICX anymore after that dud convention . Im not a financial advisor but in two years or less VEN will be big time . lol . I think we have turned a corner and its all going up from here . Im up 46% on my portfolio . Glad I weathered the storm and added to my holdings durning the dip .

Same here. I think they've scared off some people with the summit being underwhelming, and not communicating very well during the release of the mainnet. My hope right now is that they can do these things on schedule:
1. Release their wallet
2. Token Swap
3. Mainnet goes public
4. Get listed on Korean exchanges.
