risk-off. btc is still being treated like a speculative asset

Trades like a tech stock. Might be another few cycles before it is treated like a safe haven.
I wouldn't read too much into it.
Even gold tanked during Covid.

Do you guys think it’d be wise to shift out of alts right now with all this geopolitical bullshite going on? Im already down about 10% but wondering if it could get much worse

The trading range is so tight lately. The market thinks 100k is too cheap and 112k is too expensive. The real floor is obviously lower than 100k but you can tell it is rising quickly.

I’m thinking we may have gotten a good rejection off the ema at 100-102k. Let’s see what happens over the next week or so from a geopolitical standpoint.

I really need to find a good buy during all this blood. I have almost 80k sitting in USDT right now waiting for something to jump out at me. Any advice on anything to watch closely?

How are we feeling about bitcoin in the next few weeks?

I've said this for a year now but I will repeat it here.
The only reason Bitcoin has gone up so much is because of ETFs and institutional adoption.
As of today, retail still has little to no interest in Bitcoin. "Alt seasons" have always happened by Bitcoin rising, retail taking profits and moving it into alts.
If there is no retail BTC cycle, there will be no alt season.
My theory is that all the money that was once spent on gambling alt coins is now being used to gamble with Bitcoin treasury companies.
That said, if there is an alt coin that is providing real world value and not just degens trading it back and forth, it may have a real future and be worth exploring as an investment.
My advice to you, is to not even consider alternative investments until you own a full bitcoin.

Dang a twitter guy with red eyes made his call, time to sell

I wonder if we’ve found a floor for volatility in the intermediate term. Things feel a bit more lively the last few days.

Good accumulation range we’re in. I like buying when the ETF buying accelerates at the same time that price chops. The longer those two events run concurrently, the bigger the next leg up is.

Surprised we are not talking about the Genius Act here and what that means for us going forward.

I wish I was more informed and had an opinion to offer. What you thinking?
Posted on 6/19/25 at 7:55 pm to I Love Bama
I honestly don’t know what to think about it. I’m a bit worried USDT will need to get delisted in the U.S. but I guess that’s not a big deal as long as it still influences the market as a whole.

Is the consensus that, while important, stablecoin proliferation and (de)regulation should be net neutral to bitcoin?
Posted on 6/20/25 at 6:49 am to I Love Bama
quote:The Genius Act will create more widespread adoption of stable coins, which in turn should increase adoption for all crypto overall. This accelerates Bitcoin's price rise and decreases volatility over time in my opinion. More people will invest and gamble in Alt coins as well. The extent of stable coin adoption spreading to all crypto adoption is unknown, but it will only help all crypto adoption in general.

Haha you opined on my question within about 10 seconds +1 and good morning.

Saw that! We were both typing simultaneously. Good morning as well.
Yeah in my opinion, there will be a lot more interest in stable coins, and once more institutions and retail own and use stable coins, some portion will naturally spread to other crypto.
Tomorrow's crypto caveman: "Geeze Zog, I now have this USDC coin. I thought it was a rock. What's this Coinbase exchange over here for?"
However, a good portion of increased stable coin adoption will be shielded from the crypto cavemen. Like the crypto caveman,s credit card uses stable coins underneath for FIAT transactions, so Ugg doesn't notice that his rock purchase was facilitated by USDT.
But the more people who are aware of stable coins being accepted and used by more institutions, they will gain trust in other crypto especially Bitcoin, in my opinion.
