Let me preface this by saying I'm just a dumbass who works in construction, so my opinion means less than nothing. I'm also relatively new to the space. That said, I believe we're still going up, barring any macroeconomic event that nukes everything. I see arguments that we're just leaving a distribution phase and heading down then flat. I also see arguments we're in an accumulation phase and about to keep climbing. I think we're still in an accumulation phase. That's based purely on me being a perpetual optimist. I also subscribe to the theory of the supercycle.

I could be wrong. I hope I'm not. Regardless, I'll keep buying.

ETA: One of the other reasons I see us still going up is the volume has been relatively low recently. It's nowhere near what was seen the first half of this year.

Im no "crypto whisperer" either, but I don't think so yet. If you look at BTC's past performance, it is lining up with what it is doing now. There are also some things coming up first quarter of next year that can explode the market. SEC/Governmental acceptance, XRP lawsuit, and emerging markets (NFT/Meta/web 3.0 adoption) should keep it going for a while longer. I'm not sure you will see more of a bear market, than actually a series of flash crashes here and there. Look for another to $45k range probably pretty soon, before it decides to go on its way up. My thinking is it will get back up to 50k-51k then trend down again before take off.

Its not super discounts yet; some double bottom order fills would be perfect rn.

Crypto winter has been renamed to "Gaming portfolio trades 2022:
ENJ ILV ATLAS SAND GALA PYR and load the boat on VRA
I slept on Axie b/c it was such a shite game but damn it did well, imagine a decent game coming out that people crack out on. What games y'all seeing?

I like mana, fear, revolve, and the ones you mentioned above, but I think Enjin will be the big winner. They have some great projects theorized, and I think the play to earn model will catch major traction. The makers of Call of Duty were looking at one too, but I cant remember exactly which product. That could end up a pretty serious project, but is pretty far off in the making. Moving from micro transactions, to meta worlds is going to take some time to catch on.

good article on state of the markets and the economy

quote:

As we move into year end and 1Q 2022, I don’t see how we can take out Bitcoin at $69,000 or Ether at $5,000. I can imagine, though, a muddle-through, sideways, boring market with small bouts of downside volatility followed by a tepid recovery. Therefore, as I return to the three types of crypto investors out there, here is how I feel.
For those who are deciding whether to allocate more fiat into crypto, it pays to wait. I don’t see money getting any free-er or easier. Therefore, it pays to sit on the sidelines until the dust settles after a March 2022 or June 2022 Fed rate hike. Watch out for a puke fest in risk asset prices should the Fed hike, followed by a quick resumption of zero interest rate policy and aggressive bond purchases. When the Fed signals a return to business as usual, then it’s time to back up the truck.
For those who will maintain their macro crypto exposure, but must allocate amongst various coins, the coins that outperform will probably be Metaverse, Play-2-Earn, or NFT-related. The success of these themes do not hinge on global monetary conditions, but an actual change in behavior of actors whose lives can be dramatically improved by adopting new forms of technology.
For those who like to trade around their crypto vs. fiat positions, I would err on the side of USD strength and the long bond performing well in the medium-term. Again, monetary conditions in the best case will be at a standstill, and in the worst case will become tighter.

i think if btc can hold on flat or go back up, eth will run up to 5,000+ this year. lot of fear, many are waiting for a bit lower entry.

but it's never crazy to buy eth for a few year hold. nobody really knows.

Everyone’s expecting a crypto winter, which makes me believe we will not have one. I could see a little bit more of a pull back before another large run up. All it will take is some good regulatory guidance to send it flying again. BTC’s support was around $30k back in July, I’d be interested to see what it does when it touches $45k.

I figured, but it was a joke. "I would like to purchase two ethereums, please sir." You don't actually buy "ethereums." You buy ether. Just thought it was funny. No harm intended. I get terms wrong all the time in this market.

Lol, yeah.. I accidently bought four ether's.. My wife approved my buys (fraud detector) after I got error messages and tried again, and again, and again and again.

Edit- Maybe not... Now it got blocked.
