Hmmm. People seem to forget you can Fork BTC and make it PoS. In fact, there are projects like that already. Not sure if he would actually fork Doge but fork BTC. Would make the most sense if that was the game.

DOGE is his pet rock, for whatever reason, and the "working with developers/environment" tweets seems to indicate he's interested in a potential fork

I'm not about bootlicking for a billionaire but enough people will that it's probably wise to ride the momentum

the issue here is that bitcoin makes people wanna save, you don't wanna spend it

his business relies on consumption and spending so doge fits the bill.

coinbase

i'm sure everyone has heard about all the coinbase customer service horror stories. i'm curious if anyone here has had any interactions with their CS? i'm not having issues, but it's something that's got me thinking. but i also hear that every exchange has horrible CS.

Yea but in the realm of talking about "forking" why would you Fork Doge and not just fork BTC? BTC will still hold value at the base layer. Build your "eco friendly" transaction network on-top. Forking BTC doesn't mean it has to be PoW.

this is all speculation fwiw but I'm guessing he would do a hard fork

so if you own doge private keys from the current pow version, you'll have access to both assets once the fork is completed

I’ve never had Coinbase issues. I personally use Coinbase and FTX for trading.

I’ve become a big FTX and SOL guy after using their exchange

It seems it's always a case of the grass is greener on the other side as far as CS on the big exchanges.

Same is true for BTC correct? Doge is just massively inflationary.

Edit: the more I think about it Doge could always change.

We already have proof of stake projects that offer actual use cases. Are we banking on doge being used exclusively as a substitute for fiat for transactions? Why couldn’t Cardano or Ethereum serve this use case?

This feels really pointless. It feels like reinventing the wheel.

Thinking about it, what if Apple, Google, etc start down this path as well? You know everyone would FOMO into all of these "coins"...

yea I just don't see bitcoin PoS taking off, bc bitcoiners are largely against forking it into PoS.

doge investors will probably be all about it.

just two different sets of people.

I'm not saying you're wrong btw, and trying to decipher tweets from an autistic billionaire is not exactly a science
