Hey boom - I have random ERC20 coins that have been airdropped into my wallet over time that I don't care for. Can any ERC20 be sent to Metamask for this Pulse phase or only the only posted on that screenshot?

If you live in the US and bought BTC at $20k and decide to buy a Tesla tomorrow and pay with BTC how much are you going to pay for that Tesla when all incurred liabilities are settled? ballpark here.

eta: not trying to be snarky or an a-hole or anything here. ..just a simple thought experiment

Really? Because you are trying to imply you dont know how to calculate capital gains tax.....

Its literally no different if you bought some stocks in March of 2020 and made a killing and used the profits to go buy a car....

The answer would have been shorter than your response...

Is there down side to investing in coins like ADA & XLM along with ETH if you are investing long term? I’d imagine it’s safest to put more in ETH and then just split money amongst similar ALTs? Just trying to learn some of the strategies from those who have been investing in crypto for an extended period of time.

The money comes when you hit on an alt but it’s also the easiest way to lose your arse. If you believe in the project then yea you can invest in long term but a lot of stuff out there is vapor ware and doesn’t deserve its current market cap.

There’s so many projects I could have just waited two years and the investment would have been a substantial return. I got impatient and thought about opportunity costs of not playing the hot Alts and it cost me big

The best thing you can do is have a plan based on your risk tolerance and what you are willing to lose.

I cant and don't FOMO into projects/alts because I get emotional and being emotional about trading will more than likely lead me to make bad decisions.

Now that I have a plan, I stick to it and it works based on the risk I am willing to take.

Its easy to look at shite rising 10X and wanting in on that, but you need to be able to swallow a complete loss depending on the new coin and the exchange you are on.

This is something else to think about about. The exchange you are using and its operability during times of high surge. It is common for apps to just stop working during massive run ups/sells.

something ive noticed going long seems to be best if you have poor timing.

but if you're a little lucky and going to swing trade it seems better to jump in/out of a position with 1 alt vs swinging from between various alts.

i have two coins in my longer-term basket (BTC and BNB). then some alts I play shorter-term.

a lot of people here see value in ETH and LINK longer term so youll probably get a different response from everyone you ask.

the market is still young so there is really not a consensus on an extended period. id be hesitant to recommend anything longer than 5 years. if you compare the top 100 coins today, to the top 100 coins in 2017, its almost completely different

My going long on Link probably outperformed everyone’s trading strategy in this thread. But it’s not easy picking the golden goose amongst a sea of shite

Show me who in this thread invested a significant amount into that and held for massive gains. Those scams pump but people are throwing a few hundred bucks and happy with the returns , they aren’t making life changing money.

I’ve been in ADA and VET since March of 2020.

ADA is the only one I never sold all of. VET has been bought and sold many times haha.
