yeah I just got metamask up and running.
I get what youre saying now. I assume the sacrifice address will be common knowledge once that phase opens
sounds interesting, worth dumping $500 or so into just to see where it ends up

There's a reason no "eth killer" has killed eth yet... Eth has to kill itself, which it will if the devs can't get the fixes implemented.
so pulse is about to come in and already have those fixes done....
and doing the 1 thing all those other eth killers didnt do....by giving people a copy of there coins on pulse, you're already incentivizing them to use pulse rather than eth.
why would I use eth, when I have all my coins on pulse, which is cheaper and faster. I don't have to sell my eth erc20's to put them on pulse...they're already there
HUGE advantage.
You already have someone on here talking about using matic...and I know people that have. Pulse is going to be wayy ahead of matic

thanks for the info
i suppose this could be a big deal and its def a novel approach to "killing eth" by just simply forking it, copying all the tokens, then promising zero fees.
i have some random erc20 shitcoins on metamask that i feel like its worth "sacrficing" just in case this takes off

What's the development environment like? What language?
Solidity isn't the best but there's tons of development and learning resources around it.
I guess since it's an eth fork it probably is still Solidity

Eth fork, so yes.

I assume they know where to send pulse coins based off the wallet that sent the sacrifice’s hash?

Has a fork ever taken over a main chain… I’d pump the breaks on the Pulse hypetrain

Eth is a fork of Eth Classic I believe

More like there was a split from ETH and ETH Classic decided to not follow ETH's progression path.

The chain was way more immature at the time. I just don’t see how miners are gonna abandon Eth and its infrastructure for this

Do y’all see ETH crashing if bitcoin crashes later this fall if/when the next crypto winter starts? Or do you think it will separate itself even further from bitcoin?

Everything will crash when Bitcoin crashes. The ecosystem is not mature enough yet.

a fork is taking a majority of the code and only changing a few things...
is that not exactly what happend? updated/changed the code of ethereum classic.

There was a hack and after the hack when ETH moved forward, there was a subset that decided to run the older version now called, ETH classic.
It is not a fork in the traditional view IMO.

so, the original code got hacked...keep the base of the code buy update some for improvement.
Fork = take the original code (eth classic)....keep the base of the code buy update some for improvement.
The only difference is the first one got hacked.
Pulse is doing the exact same thing Eth did to Eth Classic.
i.e. making it better

I believe pulse will be proof of stake...No need for miners
